Hardware Virtualization
Hardware virtualization is one of the techniques that is becoming a standard in ICT infrastructures. Using Hardware Virtualization, servers are no longer deployed on physical hardware. Instead, they are deployed on the virtualization platform. The virtualization platform is ideal for servers that need only limited hardware resources. Besides saving on physical hardware (and the room to accommodate these servers), the virtualization platform also offers features for fault tolerance possibilities, disaster recovery and the dynamic allocation of resources.
Examples of hardware virtualization products are VMWare vSphere/ESXi, Citrix XenServerand Microsoft Hyper-V.
